As a network administrator (and a disk hog), I do use this myself. However, please understand that DisKeeper is not my full time occupation, so try to be patient. Future features may include, but are not necessarily limited to:
Give the Results window the capability to perform similar actions that DisKeeper does automatically, including the ability to “untrash” files that DisKeeper deleted.
Output file formatting options.
Merge two folders or disks. This is for people who shuttle a removeable disk from home to work and want to keep the disks identical. Most of the pieces are in place now.
A resource leech/gatherer. Example: scan all files and put all PICTs into one (big) file. Compile a monster DA file.
Preferences/settings, including a default save-output-to <pathname:filename>. For instance, the pathname could be a network administrator’s AppleShare drop-folder.
The capability to “blacklist” certain files, such as “Word Temp” files. Seek and destroy.
FUTURE NON-PLANS:
DisKeeper will never report “computer” info. Several utilities already exist for this. MacEnvy is a wonderful example.
Virus detection will never be part of DisKeeper, except possibly for generic “file-has-been-modified” messages, based on a checksum. Again, there are many existing utilities for this. Disinfectant is the best I know of.
